What we offer              

We are the only two women in Kent who teach self defence. We understand the psychological differences between men and women, so we won't teach you any difficult techniques that other instructors may teach you.

 

We keep the techniques simple which means they are easy to learn, with no strength involved. We use basic body mechanics.   

                                                                    

The most important thing we concentrate on is the mind. Your mind is THE most important tool you can use. Without this, you will not be ready for an attack. We practise mind training/meditation techniques which enhance you mentally. This can be used for every day life, anything that becomes stressful, and you can use your mind training to view the situation with less emotion.

 

Why train our mind? 

 

We live in a world where our mental state is constanly being pushed. We never have time to 'take a break' mentally. We don't realise how much our mind controls us. What would it be like if we controlled our mind? We can, through training and meditation. Our emotions control us for most of the time, we do not think rationally. How many times, when you are not 'emotionally involved' can you 'see' things clearly? So to be able to deal with an attack, we must see things clearly and act as efficiently as possible. These few precious seconds can save your life. Also it will change your attacker's state of mind too. You take back control, you turn the tables.                                                                                                                                                                                           

We know that the mental state (mind) must control the emotions, the physical side (body/techniques) has to react/respond, and the reaction must be instinctive so it can be controlled and efficient.
